Tis the season to love your fellow man, yet most of us aren’t seeing the love. We revisited yesterday’s topic regarding Pope Francis and what he was trying to impart, we must take care of each other. Love thy neighbor as you love thy self and give aid to those who are venerable. We’re doing the exact opposite of what this very season has represented to the Christian faith since it was established. This isn’t a sermon, it’s a lesson that ensures our survival as a species. As Dr. Bill would say, be kind to one another.

We also discussed author and columnist, Arthur Brooks, and his recent article in the Atlantic on Happiness. His research and his views seem to suggest that we all can find our Shangri-La if we but look, and evolve about the prodding for ultimate success to find a balance in just living.

In today’s program we revisited last Tuesday’s discussion with Dr. Kevin Shanley on our interactions with China and what they could mean for our future. Not wanting to enter into a Thucydides Trap would be an excellent choice in judgment because we may not like the results. Welcome back to our our conversation regarding elections and our nation’s health and welfare. We’re in the transition phase where we’re needing to work together to combat a pandemic, rebuild a non-existent safety net for the most vulnerable, while establishing the nation’s ability to recover from the edge of economic disaster. Once we realize that we’re a symbiotic society the better off we’ll be so that we can move forward and begin to build a better future for all.

We were on a short hiatus do to family issues and so much has happened in that short span of time. The election has been a hot bed of contention because of the inability of a party to accept loss. It has divided a nation that was already in deep trouble due to a pandemic that’s left a strong case of cognitive dissidence in it’s wake. This hasn’t been a case of little government, it’s a case of no government, and it begs the question of what has been accomplished in the last four years that was in the best interest of the American people? Not much, but corporations have flourished, and that in itself says much about where we stand. We are people and they are a machine. The machine has gained it’s own recognition as a personhood and it’s taken precedence over everything else. It’s time the actual People become the focus and not the money, because we aren’t renewable, but we’ve become expendable. Let’s not let that be the case any more.
